I thought the United States was an organization of 50 states, all working together to better ourselves and our futures both in terms of security and economy.

Why is it then that some states are BREAKING the commerce clause in the Constitution by creating barriers to entry for out of state retailers.

The wine industry is a great example.  Some states allow permits to everyone (thanks California) while others don’t allow any type of outsider permits (Texas we’re looking at you) while even others have state owned liquor stores (so much for capitalism in Pennsylvania).  A wine of the month club we recently spoke with was appalled at the situation and was hoping that shining some light on these deceptive and illegal state practices would help remedy the situation.
